College students today are being exploited for a profit by loan companies. Sajay Samuel has spent years diving into the research behind the rising prices of loan companies. His research landed him a featured Ted Talk article titled, “How college loan companies exploit students for profit.” As a soon to be college graduate, I have been receiving literature on a daily basis by lending companies. Noting the high interest rates, each piece of correspondence gets thrown in the trash. Hence the reason for my depiction.

After some deliberation I decided I would pursue a “trash,” idea where the student was throwing money away. I then created a poster and magazine spread for the corresponding Ted Talk.
